Hello,

what could have gone wrong if I get a System.MissingMethodException: Method not found: PdfSharp.Drawing.XColor PdfSharp.Drawing.XColor.op_Implicit(System.Drawing.Color)?

I am "implicitly" using PdfSharp from SharpDevelop Reports (PdfSharp and PdfSharp-WPF nuget packages, Version 1.50.5147; Irony and Irony.interpreter nguet packages, Version 1.1.0; ICSharpCode.Reporting.dll, file version 5.0.0.4755; Visual Studio Community 2019, Version 16.0.1). Any possible version mismatch here?

Why two PDFsharp packages?
Have you tried Visual Studio 2017?

Hello Thomas,

Thanks for your reply. The two PDFSharp packages were there basically because I'm not sure exactly what I need, but it looks like SharpDevelop Reports seems to expect the PDFSharp package in particular.

Will try Visual Studio 2017.

Best regards,
Holger Friedrich

Using Visual Studio 2017 instead of Visual Studio 2019 does not change the error message.

Is there more in the error message than you are showing here?

Maybe you have to use the PdfSharp-GDI NuGet package instead of the two you are using.
Maybe you have to go back to PDFsharp 1.32.

Thanks for your reply.

This would seem plausible as the source code does have an implicit conversion operator from Color to XColor, but it is inside an #ifdef GDI.

However, SharpDevelop Reporting seems to want a PDFSharp package and apparently ignores PDFSharp-gdi. Maybe I have to build my own PDFSharp DLL from source?

Yes, it seems to work with the PdfSharp 1.32 nuget package.

Thanks for your help.

There was a breaking change with respect to naming conventions and "PDFsharp-GDI" is the successor of the old "PDFsharp" NuGet package.
Mystery solved.
