Hope this the right medium, if not please kindly move or advise:

I came across PDFsharp when I wanted to do simple PDF form filling and then flattening to email it out.
But soon hit the issue with inconsistent behavior of pdf readers handling the fields being left out, (not showing, showing when clicked) even when set to readonly.

The only way I can solve the issue is replacing the PDFSharp.DLL from custom branch where "true" flattening implemented, by way of removing the fields inline with doc.Flatten()
You can find the branch at https://github.com/packdat/PDFsharp/tree/AcroForms
and related discussion at viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4477#p13886

its based on 1.50 stable and could do merge with the latest 1.50.4740.BETA as I understand things like MasterPassword retention is not working as it should on 1.50 (assigning MasterPassword has no effect it appears) but it does in later versions like 1.50.4740 I was trying earlier.

if someone can shed light on how to go about merging the changes for the MasterPassword retention to the github branch above that would be also appreciated.

cheers
